Lady in Red, 2025 by Laura El.
A woman in a long red dress stands at the entrance of a building, one gloved hand holding a black umbrella, the other resting by her side. Rain falls softly around her, catching the glow of nearby windows and gathering in puddles at her feet. Ivy spills from window boxes above, and thick greenery grows beside the arched entryway. At her feet, a white cat pauses and looks up at her, their eyes meeting in quiet understanding. The door stands slightly ajar, as if both are about to step inside. It feels as though something is about to begin.
Print size and borders: You have the option to add a white border around your print, which is useful for framing as it helps prevent the frame or mat from covering the artwork's edges. A border increases the print size; for example, an 8" x 10" image with a 1/2" border has overall dimensions of 9" x 11".
Laura El’s art career began during the pandemic, when a successful fundraiser she organized for an animal shelter brought early attention to her work. She has since built a global audience of over 135,000 across social media. Her art has been sold in New York City galleries, auctioned at Sotheby’s and Christie’s, and featured in Forbes, Marie Claire, and Martha Stewart.
