Set on a Brooklyn block inspired by Oak Street in Greenpoint, Dog Days captures the atmosphere of a warm summer evening. Two townhomes frame the scene, their windows glowing with soft yellow light. Between them, a narrow gap reveals the distant city skyline, just as the sun begins to set—casting a warm orange hue across the buildings. In the foreground, a boy plays soccer with his dog, the moment simple and unhurried. A plastic bag caught in a tree branch adds an honest, familiar detail to the urban setting. This piece reflects the slow rhythm of late summer, when the air is thick with heat and light lingers just a little longer.
Print size and borders: You have the option to add a white border around your print, which is useful for framing as it helps prevent the frame or mat from covering the artwork's edges. A border increases the print size; for example, an 8" x 10" image with a 1/2" border has overall dimensions of 9" x 11".
