On a rainy afternoon, a young boy pulls his cat and an empty, elegant metal cage behind him in a red Radio Flyer wagon. They pause outside the city’s rat rescue, “Adopt A Rat,” where the boy gazes through the front window at the hopeful residents inside. As he wonders how he will ever choose just one, his cat peers in too, although his thoughts may be slightly more mischievous.
