Symphony of the City, 2024 by Laura El.
The original Symphony of the City sold at Sotheby’s, marking its place as a celebrated piece of urban art. This art print vibrantly portrays the energy and eclectic sounds of a bustling city block. A classic Brooklyn brownstone serves as the backdrop, its timeless architecture echoing the city’s rich history. A man strolls by, immersed in the tunes of his boombox, while a howling dog and a chorus of singing birds perched on a nearby tree add their voices to the lively scene. Together, these elements create the Symphony of the City—a celebration of the ever-present music that gives New York its vibrant pulse.
Print size and borders: You have the option to add a white border around your print, which is useful for framing as it helps prevent the frame or mat from covering the artwork's edges. A border increases the print size; for example, an 8" x 10" image with a 1/2" border has overall dimensions of 9" x 11".
Laura El’s art career began during the pandemic, when a successful fundraiser she organized for an animal shelter brought early attention to her work. She has since built a global audience of over 135,000 across social media. Her art has been sold in New York City galleries, auctioned at Sotheby’s and Christie’s, and featured in Forbes, Marie Claire, and Martha Stewart.
